After spending some time researching World War I, I decided that the 1920s would be a better topic for my project. There is a great deal more information out there, and I think the kids would be much more engaged.
So, my new goal is to have the kids research different aspects of the 1920s (fashion, sports, politics, etc.) in small groups. They should then create a presentation, a webquest for the class, and a final assessment. The students will have roughly two weeks to work on their projects, and two weeks to present and administer the webquests.
I'm hoping that my new topic will be easier to implement, and also be something that I can use when I teach The Great Gatsby next semester.
